Mingle at our soon to be open cocktail bar featuring hand-blown glassware, witness our glass blowing experts creating amazing glassware while you watch, and enjoy great company amongst a Guinness World Record-holding sculpture in progress.
Yes! The Michigan Room is open to the public during our Gallery Hours at The Glass Academy, Thursday and Friday, 4 - 7 PM and Saturday and Sunday, 11 - 4 PM. There is free live glassblowing Thursdays and Sundays.

The Michigan Room is inside a creative, art-filled building that also houses the Glass Academy and BATCH Gallery at 25331 Trowbridge St., Dearborn MI 48124.
The Michigan Room has a fantastic beverage counter which serves mixed drinks, beer, and nonalcoholic beverages. There is comfortable seating in the space for fifty people, along with tables. The Michigan Room hosts unique events where participants can also experience glassblowing firsthand! The Michigan Room does not organize catering, but we can provide a food recommendations list if you are interested in organizing food for your event.
Yes. The Michigan Room has free parking on the street in front of the building, as well as an overflow lot across the street from the building.
Our space best fits groups of up to 50 people. If you are looking to host a larger group, we invite you to reach out to us, as accommodation are possible. The Michigan Room has a few different packages depending on the size of your party and what involvement/activities you are looking for. We offer a base space rental, if you are looking to host an event in The Michigan Room lounge and event space. Our signature packages are:

Ideal for team-building, birthday parties, or special celebrations, this package gives every guest the chance to work one-on-one with a professional glassblower. Each participant will make and take home their own hand-crafted glass piece. It’s a fully interactive experience that leaves you with something beautiful and unforgettable.
🍸 Happy Hour Custom Drinkware (8–16 guests)
Looking for something more intimate and design-focused? Our Happy Hour package lets guests collaborate one-on-one with a glassblower to create custom drinkware—think cocktail glasses, mugs, or tumblers made just for you. Since each piece takes about 30–40 minutes to craft, we recommend this for smaller groups to ensure everyone gets a personalized experience.
